TV Anhanguera in Brazil chooses CIS Group to upgrade its News Production system

São Paulo, BR, June 21st, 2021 – As part of a selection process that began in the beginning of 2019, TV Anhanguera in Brazil ultimately chose CIS to upgrade their existing Glookast and Avid systems to a completely new and more operationally efficient platform. TV Anhanguera is one of Rede Globo’s largest affiliates, headquartered in Goiânia and part of the Jaime Câmara Group, spanning the states of Goiás and Tocantins.

The system provides TV Anhanguera with the ability to deliver news in a much faster and effective way, further engaging its audience by delivering the latest news in real time across more devices and platforms.

As a complete Journalism Production solution, AVID’s MediaCentral Cloud UX platform offers TV Anhanguera a simple and user friendly web-based interface that is integrated with MediaCentral modules, such as MediaCentral Production Management, MediaCentral Newsroom Management (iNews) and Maestro Graphics. Additionally, Glookast, an industry leading ingest and workflow automation solution, was chosen to handle baseband and file-based ingest with Capturer and media|producer, respectively. Two Glookast workflow tools: media|parker and media|retriever, were also deployed for hi-res / proxy workflow automation, integrated with Object Matrix nearline storage. Lastly, as part of the new system, users at Anhanguera are utilizing Overcast as a tool to streamline their review & approval process. All finished material is then sent to Avid’s FastServe Playout solution for distribution.

This scalable and open platform offers a powerful set of creative tools, media asset management and the ability to customize and expand resources, allowing teams to collaborate from anywhere, using any device, ultimately increasing the team’s productivity, and enabling them to focus on their content creation.
